Season after season, designer Grace Wales Bonner reinterprets the adidas archive through a lens that weaves together European tailoring and rich Afro-Atlantic heritage. In this new proposal, now available at SVD, tactile craftsmanship and sports luxury converge in a visual narrative unlike any other.

Roots turned into design

The vision behind this collection is grounded in the exploration of identity and movement. Wales Bonner continues her mission to elevate utilitarian garments into objects of desire, using organic textures, crochet details, and finishes that evoke the sophistication of the 70s and 80s—reimagined through a contemporary technical execution.

This season’s apparel stands out through a color palette of earthy tones, deep burgundies, and touches of vibrant blue. The pieces share a common DNA: the use of high-quality materials and artisanal detailing.

The tracksuit set (KF5016 and KR1060, KR1060) in “Craft Pink” and burgundy defines today’s sporty-luxe aesthetic, featuring mid-weight fleece fabrics and precision finishes. The nylon shorts (KR8773), meanwhile, introduce a lighter, more technical feel, enhanced by premium hardware and accents reminiscent of crochet—one of the designer’s signatures. The collection is completed with sharply cut graphic tees and accessories such as footballs (KF1073), reimagined as collectible design objects. Multicolor geometric knit socks (KG4888) finish the looks, adding that final layer of detail that separates the ordinary from the exceptional.

Footwear in this collection unfolds as a true display of design mastery, where each silhouette tells a story of texture and heritage. The Karintha model emerges as the new centerpiece, presented in three key variations that redefine subtle elegance: the Karintha Basketry with its handcrafted braided leather construction (HP3710), and the Karintha OG (KI8476 and KK4981) in black with white details and in white with black accents.

The collaboration also introduces the Predator Elite Fold-Over Tongue (JR4430). This luxury football boot is crafted in snake-effect leather in brown and silver tones, achieving a perfect balance between elite athletic performance and the artisanal aesthetic that defines adidas x Wales Bonner.

Meanwhile, the iconic Gazelle is reimagined through two bold textures that challenge convention: the Gazelle Pony (KK3640), covered in short pony-style hair, and the Gazelle Snake (KK3641), featuring an embossed snakeskin finish. Finally, the Adizero Adios Mesh (KI6054) brings a technical edge to the collection, transforming a high-performance running silhouette into a refined everyday design through the use of retro mesh in cream and earthy tones.
